Hi, I've forgotten about my blog for a while, but a lot of exiting things have happened since last time.

First, I've actually flown an airplane!(not solo) It was really fun and I cannot wait for the next time I'm in the air.

Second, my summer holiday has begun.

Third, I've been on a little trip today to look for a crashed airplane (Douglas DC-47) somewhere in the woods, with no luck. But it was very nice weather.

I've also decided to go for a Ultralight license, an ultralight aircraft is an aircraft which weighs less than 450 Kg, or 500 Kg if fitted with floats. The UL-License is much cheaper, so it is a better choice for me. I think that it is sad that we don't have a "microlight" class in Finland, for planes that weigh under 265 Kg (I think) and that don't require a license to fly.

Lastly, I've been thinking of buying the instructions for the Affordaplane (http://www.affordaplane.com/) - which is a plane that you build yourself, and which looks like the cheapest alternative of a homebuilt aircraft to me. I've looked at the Air-Bike and Legal Eagle too, but their instructions are too expensive for me.

This is my new blog where I'll blog about my journey to becoming a pilot at the age of 17.

Me: I am an 14 year old boy from Åland Islands in Finland named Viggo. I consider myself as a well-behaved and nice boy.

My interests: My cat Primus, Star Wars, Swimming, School and of course Aviation. My favourite aircraft are the WW2 ones like the Mustang, Spitfire or the ME-262. The games on my computer are all about aircraft, exept the ones about Star Wars ;).

What this blog will be about: Events that happen in my life (I may go to the Farnborough air show next year), exiting things I find while browsing the web, answering your questions to me, but  I'll also blog about my journey to becoming a pilot at the age of 17, which is the age limit to get a PPL (private pilot license) in Finland and which I so hope will happen. Just keep in mind all Finnish readers, that I speak Swedish and that I am still learning Finnish.
